There have been changes to Indonesia visa policy effectively on early February 2004.
Countries that do not require a Visa :
Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Hongkong, Macau, Morocco, Chile, Peru.
Countries that require and are eligible for Visa-On Arrivals (VOA):
Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Arab Emirates, USA. Canada, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Norway, Hungary, Finland, Denmark.
Important Notes
1. Costs for VOA are US$10.00 for 3 days stay and US$25.00 for 30 days. The overstay fee is US$2000/day. Make sure to report to the immigration, office if your flight has been delayed or cancelled due to airline technical problems. This is to avoid penalty on the next day.
2. The VOA is non-extendable and cannot be converted into a different visa.
3. The process to apply for the visa is as follow:
A. The visitors must complete the EID card and line up at the payment counter.
B. After the payment. line up at VOA counter based on the payment.
C. Then line up again at regular counter for arrival stamp.
4. Countries that need visa can apply visa at the Indonesian Embassy at their countries before entering Indonesia if they don’t want to line upto apply VOA upon arrival.
5. Group visitors can be organized by their tour leader to avoid long queue.
6. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Indonesia, and you must have proof of onward passage (either return or through tickets). If you cannot fulfill both of these requirements, you may not be allowed to enter the country.
